“Education is the process of facilitating learning”.
Literally speaking education is nothing but the process of receiving and giving knowledge, which helps to fight and stand in life and to open up one’s mind. But if we can closely dig into the matter, then the term education comes up with a much broader manifestation. It is the act or process of imparting or gaining knowledge and developing the powers of reasoning and judging the good from bad and to be matured in life. This process generally starts in schools and other educational institutions, which mainly takes the help of various books and novels to teach the students.
Though the books are an indispensable part of the education system, one needs to observe, listen, think, and decide by oneself only. Here lies the problem of the conventional teaching methodology. It puts more emphasis on bookish knowledge and rarely encourages the creativeness of the children. While the books may help in scoring good marks and getting good jobs, but it seldom nurtures the more curious and creative side of an individual. As the famous Jewish philosopher Maimonides once said, “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime” – Treasures of Innocence works in this field.
Our Education initiatives motivate CREATIVITY in children
We intend to teach, the art of learning through fun, games, and creativity. We intend to plug the holes of school learning of memorizing and vomiting in exams. We do not ask children only to memorize the lessons, instead, we ask them to write their own books through our programs too. We do not say them only to read the published stories, instead, we say and work with them to have their own stories published. We try to make learning a fun-filled, enjoying and creative process.
