We at Treasures of Innocence, have launched a ‘Global Multicultural Integration Programme’(virtually), during this Covid19 pandemic to keep the blues away from our treasure troves. The goal of this initiative is to create hope, reduce stress, and increase the level of knowledge, creativity, intercultural awareness and the confidence of the children to build a better future for them.

While working with underprivileged children we realised deeply that these children have huge potential. The only thing they need is strong support to come out of these adversities and a hand that could pull them to brightness. We feel very content to provide them that right and tight push from behind.

This Multicultural Infusion Program is based on the notion of promoting intercultural understanding and reducing discrimination between different socio-economic status groups. The program, we call Friendship Boat aims at breaking animosity towards the out-groups in the context of socioeconomic status, ethnicity, religion, and caste. This program is aiming at collaborating with other children from other parts of the world to prove the fact that ‘Friendship has No Boundaries’. We are making an effort to bridge this gap and bring children together from various socioeconomic statuses, ethnic, cultural, and religious backgrounds to exchange their thoughts, ideas, and perspectives through Letters. This endeavor is targeting to imbibe empathy and openness to different perspectives in young and innocent minds from all over the globe.
The students would be selected on the basis of age. Children from different backgrounds whether it is marginalised backgrounds or economically well off families are paired together to exchange their thoughts and stories with each other. Through exchange of letters and creative works they will open up to their partners, they will become friends and with peer support and encouragement they will move together in Friendship Boat. It’s a 6 months program where children will exchange friendship letters on different topics.
